1. Information we handle
This notice covers the Simply Happy Guide website, enquiries and newsletter. The operator identified below is responsible for the personal information she handles for these purposes.
If you email us, we receive your email address, the name you choose to provide and your message. For purchase or access support, we may also receive an order reference and information about the guide you bought. Please do not send payment-card details or sensitive health information.
Paid purchases and free No-Drama List signups take place on Whop. Whop collects the information needed for its checkout, account, payment and signup services and may make relevant order or subscription information available to us. This website does not collect card details directly and does not contain a local email-subscription form.
The hosting and delivery services may process technical information such as IP address, browser, device, request time and security logs when you visit.
2. Why we use information
- To provide a purchase, digital access or related support: to perform our contract with you or take steps you request before a purchase.
- To answer enquiries and keep the website secure: our legitimate interests in communicating with visitors, preventing misuse and operating the service.
- To send the newsletter you requested, or use optional website analytics: your consent. Each choice is separate and you can withdraw it at any time.
- To keep transaction records or respond to lawful requests: applicable legal obligations.
We use information only for relevant purposes and do not sell your personal information as part of our business.
3. The No-Drama List
The No-Drama List is a free email newsletter with real-food ideas, practical support and occasional information about our guides. Signing up is optional. To stop receiving it, use the unsubscribe option provided in the email or contact us at simplyhappyguide@gmail.com or goodnews@simplyhappyguide.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
4. Cookies and analytics
With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand page views, engagement and how visitors reach the website, including which blog articles are useful. Google may process technical information such as your browser, device, approximate location and pseudonymous cookie identifiers. We do not send your name, email address, order details or health information as custom analytics data. Arbitrary URL query parameters are excluded from the page address supplied by our analytics configuration; relevant campaign tags may be used for traffic attribution.
The Google tag is not loaded before you allow optional analytics. Choosing Decline analytics keeps it off. Use at any time to change or withdraw your choice. When you withdraw consent, our code disables Analytics, removes its accessible first-party cookies and reloads the page without the Google tag. Previously collected information is not automatically deleted by withdrawing consent.
Your consent choice is stored in your browser's local storage for up to 180 days, so you do not have to choose on each page. When allowed, Analytics may use first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_HTP2Y90WH0; we configure a 180-day cookie lifetime, which may renew while consent remains valid. Clearing browser storage removes the saved choice. Advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalisation and Google signals are disabled in our tag configuration.
Google operates the Analytics service. See Google's privacy policy and how Google uses information from partner sites. Hosting and security services may process information necessary for delivery and protection regardless of your optional analytics choice. Visiting Whop, Instagram or Facebook opens a separate service with its own privacy and cookie practices.
5. Service providers and external links
We use OpenAI Sites for hosting, Whop for digital checkout and signup, and email services to communicate. These providers may process data to deliver their services; some also act independently for their own account, payment, security or legal purposes. Review the relevant provider's notice, including OpenAI's privacy policy and Whop's privacy policy.
Providers may process information outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. Their notices explain the locations and transfer safeguards applicable to their processing. We share information with advisers or authorities only where needed for a legitimate purpose or legal requirement.
6. How long information is kept
Newsletter information is kept while you remain subscribed, with limited records retained where necessary to respect an unsubscribe request or meet a legal obligation. Enquiries are kept for as long as reasonably needed to answer them and address related issues. Purchase and accounting records are retained for the period required by applicable law. Service providers apply their own retention periods to information they control.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your personal information, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent at any time. Some requests are subject to legal exceptions, including required transaction records.
Send requests to simplyhappyguide@gmail.com or goodnews@simplyhappyguide.com. We may need proportionate information to confirm your identity. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority, including the Italian Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
8. Security, age and updates
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we handle, but no online service can promise absolute security. The guides and purchase services are intended for adults; we do not knowingly solicit personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information.
We may update this notice when the service changes. The date above identifies the latest revision.
